On the Rowing Club, 1924

Miller St. George was founded in the spring of 1924 on the upstairs floor of a boathouse that no longer exists. It rained, apparently, for the whole of the inaugural meeting. The minutes survive. The roof did not.

The summer is not for haste. It is for letters that take a week to arrive and conversations that last an evening. We have made the clothes accordingly.
